Gold Coast 4WD Eco Tour Window to the Wilderness (Lamington National Park and Tamborine Mountain)

The trek into the Hinterland region for our ‘Window to the Wilderness’ Tour follows the original pioneer’s track to the volcanic plateau of Tamborine Mountain. We might encounter a shy koala sleeping the day away in a gum tree or catch a glimpse of a resident wallaby. Who knows what other natural experiences lie ahead as we travel deeper into the bush?

A break for morning tea and chance to check out Gallery Walk on the Mountain. Delicious fresh scones, served with jams, cream, tea and coffee.

Time to stretch the legs when guides, who are renowned for their local knowledge and expertise, escort you on a leisurely rainforest walk. Discover lush subtropical rainforests with cascading waterfalls, learn about the forests unique characteristics, how the Aboriginal people gathered food and the animals and birds that call the area home.

Lunch time, getting hungry? With all the appeal of ‘The Outback’ yet only a stone’s throw from the Gold coast, our property provides the ideal venue for a delicious BBQ lunch with all the trimmings. Mouth-watering beefsteaks, chicken, fish or vegetarian accompanied by crisp salads and fresh fruit.

Entertainment includes whip cracking and Boomerang throwing and everyone is encouraged to participate. On a hot summer’s day, nearby cool waters and rock pools provide the opportunity for a refreshing swim.

After lunch, the tour continues on into the mountainous regions of Lamington National Park. At O’Reilly’s Plateau, some 3,000 feet above see level, colourful native birds flock around and you can hand fed. The Treetop Boardwalk through the rainforest canopy offers a bird’s eye view of this enchanting area.

On the way home, sightings of kangaroos is common as they emerge form their bush retreats to feed on the lush pastures of the local farmlands.

Gold Coast 4WD Eco Outback Tracks Tour

Join the Outback Tracks tour and discover waterfalls cascading into mountain streams, thick green rainforests alive with native birds and animals and the rugged hillside trails on Tamborine Mountain.

Sighting of kangaroos in the Tamborine area is common and not to forget the koala who are often seen sleeping the day away in a gum tree beside one of the rough bush tracks.

Joalah National park will be our first stop where our experienced guides will guide you through and explain the uniqueness of the Rainforests and Eucalyptus forests that make up the Tamborine Plateau.

The carefully worked out timetable allows for frequent stops to take in the sweeping views, leisurely walks through the forests.

In addition to this you will see a whip cracking display and then get the chance to try it yourself. Don’t think your going to get out of the Boomerang throwing! We will also give you lesson on how to throw and define the difference between a boomerang and a stick!!
